This site is an extension of the 'Rethink Church' national advertising messaging, from the people of The United Methodist Church, which seeks to live ou the idea that church is not a building but thousands of doors, each opening up to a different concept or experience of church.

Key this exploration is the FIND feature which allows visitors to search for a local United Methodist congregation based on their needs, interests, faith journey, or passions.

With successive earthquakes and record flooding, United Methodists are responding with supplies, volunteers, and prayers. More

57 -- that's the number of disasters we responded to in 2009. Hurricanes. Tsumamis. Tornadoes. Floods. Earthquakes.

And because we believe everyone has the right to be to be healthy, fed and protected, The United Methodist Church was there. In 80 countries and here at home.

We are the hands that deliver flood buckets, build shelters and hand out medicine. We are the hearts that listen to the needs of those who suffering. We mop floors. We make soup. We are teams of compassionate people helping disaster recovery. And there's always room for more hands.
