10thousanddoors.org is an intersection of everyday life and faith for a broad audience.

This site is an extension of the 'Rethink Church' national advertising messaging, from the people of The United Methodist Church, which seeks to live ou the idea that church is not a building but thousands of doors, each opening up to a different concept or experience of church.

Key this exploration is the FIND feature which allows visitors to search for a local United Methodist congregation based on their needs, interests, faith journey, or passions.

2) If you don’t have a Google, AIM, or OpenID, you can create one here.
Either way, to start just click the JOIN link in the "social bar" at the bottom of your monitor (far left).

About Us

United Methodists want to do their part for the Earth.

We consider ecology part of theology. We want to be stewards, protectors, and defenders of all creation.

Psalm 24:1 says, "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof."

United Methodists believe all people have basic rights and concerns: the right to live in a community free of toxic and hazardous substances; the right to clean air, the minimization of chemical use, responsible land use, and more.

We are called to seek a new lifestyle. We are called to a global sense of community and solidarity that leads to alleviation of poverty, sustainable development, and looks toward a healthy future.
