10thousanddoors.org is an intersection of everyday life and faith for a broad audience.

This site is an extension of the 'Rethink Church' national advertising messaging, from the people of The United Methodist Church, which seeks to live ou the idea that church is not a building but thousands of doors, each opening up to a different concept or experience of church.

Key this exploration is the FIND feature which allows visitors to search for a local United Methodist congregation based on their needs, interests, faith journey, or passions.

As you navigate this site, you have the opportunity to comment on every page -- and we're listening! At the bottom of your screen/monitor you will see a pale blue "social bar" powered by Google FriendConnect. From this social bar, you can do four things:

  • 1) FAR LEFT > Join/sign in to leave comments or create a FriendConnect profile
  • 2) CENTER > view comments from all site areas
  • 3) RIGHT > view comments for the current page
  • 4) FAR RIGHT > view existing site members and access their FriendConnect profile

Although you can browse the site as a “guest,” you cannot leave a comment unless you join the site. You can do this in 2 ways:

1) Already have a Google, AIM, or OpenID account? Great, you're ready to go!
2) If you don’t have a Google, AIM, or OpenID, you can create one here.
Either way, to start just click the JOIN link in the "social bar" at the bottom of your monitor (far left).
Once you join and log in, use the social bar (bottom of your monitor) to leave any question, comment, observation, or problem encountered -- Wes, our site host, will respond.
