U2 Meet With Turkish PM
Irish band U2 met with the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on a visit to the Bosphorous Bridge, where two parts of Turkey and the two continents of Europe and Asia join. Frontman Bono also presented him with an iPod music player. (Sept 6)

Spain Rejects Basque Truce Offer
The Spanish government has rejected a ceasefire announcement by the Basque militant group ETA. Madrid ruled out talks on Basque independence and said police would continue their crackdown on the group. (6 Sept 2010)

Family Pit Bull Mauls 85-year-old Grandmother
A family pet killed a grandmother in McMinn County, Tenn. The sheriff says a woman's pit bull attacked her for no reason. 85-year-old Mattie Daugherty had her dog for nine years. (Sept. 6)

Revis, Jets Agree to Terms on 4-year Deal
